Welcome

The Park People works to preserve, enhance, and advocate for Denver’s parks, recreation resources, open space and urban forest. We pursue this mission by raising private funds for capital projects and through our flagship program, Denver Digs Trees.

Now in our 40th year of operation, The Park People is managed by a small staff and dedicated Board of Trustees. Support for the Park People comes from individual donations, grants, corporate sponsorships, and the support of hundreds of volunteers.

Current Park People projects include: The expansion of our Denver Digs Trees program to include shade trees in the fall and the restoration of the James Fleming Mansion. Recently completed projects include, in partnership with Denver Parks and Recreation, the building of not one but two KaBOOM playgrounds in Denver this year. Check back often to find out what we’re doing next!
