Washington
Park Boathouse
Built
in 1903, the Washington Park Boat House is a significant
structure from both an historical and architectural
point of view. The restoration of this structure included
a new roof, structural repair, new plaster and a complete
overhaul of its electrical system. The project was completed
by the end of 1987, thanks to generous foundation support
and the efforts of the Denver Parks and Recreation Department
and The Park People. The building is in constant use
during the summer months, and during the winter its
strings of light brighten the ice-covered lake.
