Cheesman Park Pavilion

The first major project for The Park People was the restoration of the Walter S. Cheesman Pavilion, which had been donated to Denver 1908. The restoration project was undertaken in 1970 and completed four years later. In 1998, the fountains in front of the pavilion became one of the "Focus on Fountains" projects of The Park People. This project was successfully completed in the summer of 1999. Both projects are examples of the public-private partnership between the Denver Parks and Recreation Department, The Park People and Denver's foundation community.
